On May 3,
1984 I realized that I was a sinner, (Romans 3:23) and that the wages of
sin was death: eternal separation from a Holy God (Romans 6:23) I also
realized that there was nothing I could do to make myself acceptable to
God, and that Jesus paid the penalty of my sins on the cross (2
Corinthians 5:21, John 3:16, Romans 5:8) I also realized that there was an
emptiness in my life that only Jesus could fill, and that I needed His
love and forgiveness more than anything in my life. I didn't know
much about the bible, but I knew a lot about Clifton Jansky, and I knew
that my only hope was receiving Jesus Christ as my savior and Lord. So on
that Thursday right in Sutherland Springs, Texas I confessed my sins to
God and by faith received forgiveness of all my sins through His precious
Son, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9) I gave Him my life, and I have never
been the same. On July 22, 1989 I ended a 22 year career in country music,
and 5 days later the Lord called me into full time service. My ministry
and my recordings have been me and Jesus and my guitar for the past 5
years, and I have been content with that. However, God has chosen to
draw myself and my producer in country music unto Himself and team us back up
for my first full production cassette and CD. Words can't express the joy
of serving Jesus, and I pray that if you have never received Jesus
Christ as your personal Lord and Savior that through this recording
and God's Word you would in simple childlike faith, open your heart to Him
in prayer and receive His forgiveness and the gift of eternal life that is
only in God's Son (Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10-13, John 14:6)
